Last night we did something amazing at the kids’ Paint-Party at the McMinnville Community Center!
I showed them an image on my laptop screen that I wanted to turn into a painting. And then I described the process, out loud, from start to finish, and they followed along, doing their own version of what I was doing.
Look how brilliantly they turned out! I’m calling this new painting “Magic Maple.”
If you’re in the McMinnville area, and you would like your child/ren to paint with me on an ongoing basis, you can drop in on the third Wednesday of each month, from 6:00 to 7:30. Parents can drop off, stay to watch or even join in!
At the end of December, on the final Wednesday and Thursday, I will be offering a winter break art camp for those two days. I do the same for spring break, and then in the summertime I offer two 5-day art camps for kids.
