Open to the public! Enjoy creating your own painting—then experience Chemeketa Theatre’s production of Scenes from an Execution—a play about the power of art!

Join us in the lobby of the Chemeketa Auditorium for a two-hour art lesson, and become part of the play-going experience as audience members arrive early and take in your art. Then watch the play for FREE as part of the lesson.

We’ll be painting: “Soul Window” – an evocative and emotional painting.

About the Play: Famed artist Galactia is commissioned to paint the Battle of Lepanto, the greatest triumph in Venetian history. When she instead chooses to paint the horror of war, Art and the State collide. Will Galactia survive as she speaks Truth to Power? (NOTE: The play contains adult language and brief nudity.)

More Info about the play can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/events/2199081133447665
